Yankuam is a Swiss-based, non-profit organization dedicated to creating a transparent, meaningful bridge between Switzerland and the Ecuadorian Amazon. Our core mission is the protection, preservation, and sustainable cultivation of the Shuar culture and its ancestral traditions. By fostering collaborative education, showcasing authentic artistry, and facilitating respectful community exchange, we empower indigenous voices and ensure their invaluable heritage continues to thrive for generations to come.

In our boutique at Gerechtigkeitsgasse 32 in Bern, Shuar culture expresses itself through handicrafts, jewelry, textile art, and works of indigenous traditions from around the world. Each piece is an expression of authenticity, dialogue, and a creative exchange between cultures.

Through rituals, cultural activities, workshops, women’s circles, and encounters with traditional keepers of knowledge, we create spaces for learning, healing, and community building.
